Lager
Lager comes from the German word "lagern" which means "to store". Lagers are made with "bottom-fermenting" strains of yeast which means that the yeast ferments at the bottom of the fermentation tank. Lagers are fermented and stored for longer periods of time than ales and at colder temperatures.
