Dark brown-amber color with a large, tanned head. Very malty, syrupy, slightly hoppy and rye-pudding-like aroma. Flavor is also very malty, sweet and hoppy. Sweetness hides the ABV nicely. The full-bodied, syrupy palate is actually quite refreshing because of the foamy carbonation. A nice and full-bodied, yet quite easily drinkable strong ale.
