The body is dark with a ruby red hue when held up to the light. Fluffy tan colored head that rises up to 2 fingers and falls down to a generous and lightly aerated coverage that tightens up towards the edge of the glass.

Aroma is slightly more complex than other dubbels. Nose is dominated by the usual dark Belgian standard of dry plumb and dark fruits with bread dough like malts.

The old standard of malts, caramelized sugar, roasted dark fruits and a weak tone of aged fortified wine dominate the taste profile.
