Faro Boon is a beer of spontaneous fermentation, made by the blending of ’Meerts’ beer and old Lambics. The light-brown colour, as well as the sweet-sour character, are due to the addition of candisyrup before bottling.

Clear nut brown, minimal head. Citric barnyard aroma with caramel behind. Some citric acidity counetracts crystalized sugar sweetness, rounded mouthfeel. In a way the crystalized sugar enhances the gueuze flavour, the drawback is reduced drinkability and takeover of caramel/sugar flavours. Still this breaths authenticity and remains refreshing.
