Like every city had his own beer that time, so the inhabitants of Mechelen drunk about more then hunderd years there own amber colored beer.

This beer was served at that time in Mechelschen buckets, glasses who contents a half liter, a liter and even more. The Brewery is the only one who brews this type of beer. The recipe is descended from the 14th century. The present-day version is a little more heavy and more hops.

The balance between the different malts, the fine hops and typical tastes take care over the unconditional of the braun beers and the freshment of the blond beers.
These fresh aromatic and pithy light braun drink can be served rather fresh.
The beer is called AMBRIO because of the amber colored beer made with brio (with excellence).
