Open since the first of February 2003, and first christened "Théobroma Cacao", Jean Le Chocolatier continues to over-reach in his work in order to make you discover new flavours…

"Since arriving in Belgium in December 1997, I have discovered the gastronomic spirit of the region’s inhabitants. Chocolate freak since my early beginnings, I have decided to bring Habay that chocolated atmosphere and have fun in devising chocolates of all types. Listening to my customers in one of the sources of my creations."

Jean Le Chocolatier was born in Sète (Hérault, France.)

He has worked in various large houses and palaces on the Côte d’Azur and the Languedoc Rousillon, passing thru the Savoie: The Mas d’Artigny in St Paul de Vence, the Grand Hotel in St Jean de Cap Ferrat, the Negresco in Nice, Les Airelles in Courcheval 1850 and the Jardin des Sens at the Pourcel Brothers’ in Montpellier.

His curiosity and passion for the trade make him move to the “land of chocolate” which is Belgium.

In December 1997, he works in Habay-La-Neuve at the Forges du Pont d’Oye, then in 2000 at the Wengé in Luxembourg City. His project finally takes shape with the opening of the "atelier-magasin", where several dozen of different chocolates are traditionnaly produced.
