On the flip side, craft-brewed honey (or maple) beers uses the sugary addition together with malted grains, typically barley, in either a conventional or unconventional breweing process to create a beer that delivers a true premium lager or ale, supplemented by a maple or honey flavour that doesn"t overpower the other aspects of the brew. It is importaint that flavours are in proportion with tne another, unless the goal of the beer is to subvert the style it is made in, thus making it an extreem beer, in which the added maple or honey flavour will most likely dominate.
