According to objective beer tasters: Sweetens a smattering burned, a smattering acid, a smattering, but the first sensation in the nose is pleasant. This is for devotees of dark beers. (The Nieuwsblad 20-21 March 1999)

According to Mr. Bob Magerman: It colours obscurity-russet, the foam collar is again creamy, stably and very fijnmazig. It smells sweetened to caramel, burned malt, bitter chocolate, alcohol and fruit. In the taste caramel predominated and very malt and hops burned of. Last colour the after-taste in, so that also these wind up twice dry. Some esterige aromas do think of what heavier fruit (figs).
