They reached this decision after they had tasted 12 Belgian beerbeer beers beside each other with approximately 80 beer tasters.
5 October 2002: The newspaper the Nieuwsblad publishes the report of degustatie of the objective beer tasters (OBP), where 12 beerbeer beers beside each other were put. One of their 3 favorites was the Romy lager. They defined Romy lager as follows: Again fruit in the nose, especially apricots. Also something of liquor. Pleasant. Sweetish and moutige beginning, proceeding in bitterige a taste, which apprehends long. Not disturbing metaalsmaak. For pils something special.
