3 November 1998: A delegation of the alliance of Biertapperijen (ABBOT), a Dutch association of managers of specialised beer bars, settles on in brewery novel to hand over tastiest Belgian pils to the beer certificate. They reached this decision after they had tasted 12 Belgian beerbeer beers beside each other with approximately 80 beer tasters.

5 October 2002: The newspaper the Nieuwsblad publishes the report of degustatie of the objective beer tasters (OBP), where 12 beerbeer beers beside each other were put. One of their 3 favorites was the Romy lager. They defined Romy lager as follows: Again fruit in the nose, especially apricots. Also something of liquor. Pleasant. Sweetish and moutige beginning, proceeding in bitterige a taste, which apprehends long. Not disturbing metaalsmaak. For pils something special.
