La Trouffette Givree
Price: Not sold by PolyBEER
Amber colour, small brown head. Aroma is fruits, bready malts, some sweetness, and quite balanced. Flavour is quite much the same in a quite nice balance.
Country: Belgium
Brewery: Brasserie de Bastogne
Alcohol: 8.00  %
Served: 8-10  °C
Type: Ale, Winter, Artizanal
Pours dark brown with a substantial head that dissipates to a fine ring, leaving some lacing on the glass. Smells of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, dark fruit, tree (pine) botanicals. Taste is very smooth, with charred malt, coffee, chocolate. Not very sweet which is nice in a winter ale. Some wintery spice is evident, maybe spruce berries/botanicals. Body is light and carbonation combines to give this a creamy although light mouthfeel. This is a nice winter ale, lots of roasty malt flavor, light in body and in alcohol. Packs a lot of flavor and is highly drinkable.
