Gruut Wit
Price: Not sold by PolyBEER
Gruut is an ancient Flemish coin. In medieval Ghent, brewers used Gruuts to pay taxes on the richness of their brew. Gentse Stadsbrouwerij has revived this tradition with Gruut Wit Beer. Enjoy it is natural cloudiness, golden color, and refreshing finish.
Country: Belgium
Brewery: GRUUT Gentse Stadsbrouwerij
Alcohol: 5.00  %
Type: Artizanal
Strong coriander with some overly sweet notes in the nose (and, unfortunately, some corn), light yeast and otherwise pale malts in this pale yellow beer, hazed with a rich and jiggling creamy white head. Taste is mellow, rounded, a little bit of tang but otherwise smooth wheat and a welcoming yeast slurry. Very faint phenols. Medium body a bit watery at time, with soft and enduring carbonation. Very gentle, inoffensive take.
