The Tripel Karmeliet, which means "3 Grains Beer", is a high fermentation blond beer, refermented in the bottle. With its golden bronzed color, it has an enormous and creamy head. Made with 3 kinds of grains (wheat, oats and barley), in a malted and non-malted combination, and with a hops called "Styrian Golding". No sugar is added during the brewing process.
Wheat, barley and oats are all used in their raw and malted form to create both a light crispness and creamy sweetness. Gentle bitterness and the bananas and vanilla character of the house yeast meld perfectly with the grains to create an exceptionally well rounded tripel.
