Egmont pours a very clear and bright blonde; foam is irregular and unstable, disappearing quickly and leaving only the thinnest of blankets.

Aroma is dominated by maltsweetness with a remarkable sour whif and a hint of grass.

Taste is quite original. It is a delicate balance between a slightly sourish yeast touch and a very freshly sweet malt character. Hence apple peel. Also a good deal of bitterness, especially in the finish. Rather smooth mouthfeel. Word has it that the brewer spent many years refining the recipe for this one and the result is a quite original and surprising beer.
