In the 1970s the This family closed down their brewery with great sorrow. They welcomed the offer from fellow brewer Cornelissen from Opitter, who suggested continuing the brewing of the This familys brainchild Morel. In fairness, they have to admit that they have changed the original Kriekenbier slightly. This cherry beer used to be a high-fermentation beer, and they have turned it into a low-fermentation beer. But this does not change the fact that this fruit beer is extremely tasty, and is brewed on the basis of pilsner, just like our Bosbier. Awarded the Silver Medal for Quality in 1997.
