Like every city had his own beer that time, so the inhabitants of Mechelen drunk about more then hunderd years there own amber colored beer.

This beer was served at that time in Mechelschen buckets, glasses who contents a half liter, a liter and even more. The Brewery is the only one who brews this type of beer. The recipe is descended from the 14th century. The present-day version is a little more heavy and more hops.

These fresh aromatic and pithy light braun drink can be served rather fresh.
